I look forward to you,

Every day, every night these days.

And when you come, you come drop by drop

Like falling from a tap not so tightly shut,

But you come.

And keep on coming for hours together,

Or maybe for just a minute or two at times.

But sometimes you drop down so heavily,

Maybe because of an earthquake in the heaven.

And you splash on me so hard,

Like a stone pelted in a river,

And I take you inside me,

Just as a river does;

Calmly....silently.

I try not to leave you,

But it seems you do,

You try to leave me for weeks and months,

And my friends out their too.

My friends who need you to live on,

Not people like me,

Who just need you to have fun and get away from your friend Mr. sun.

I request you, I pray to you,

Please go and meet my friends.

They really really need you.

You'll find quite a few,

If you go around my lovely country....

And you know something?

They do all sorts of things to call you;

They get dirty in the mud and sing songs to the frogs.

But you seem to be too busy to hear them,

Too busy troubling my other friends by flooding their homes.

Please listen to me,

Please divide yourself equally amongst all of us.

I''ll be grateful.

Thank you......Thank you Rain.

Writng is great

I just had to post something on this blog...I had not done that for such a long time. So without even thinking what I am going to write about, I have started typing.

..........Ummm, I really don't know what to write about...why not talk about writing itself?

Writing... it may seem like a very simple thing to do, but it's actually not. A writer has to keep thinking all the time; and observe the people, things and situations around her/him. He/She should also be able to look at one simple thing in different ways. For example, instead of thinking of the Sun as just a big ball of fire, it could be potrayed as a jewel on a girl's finger which is so bright that the girl cannot be seen herself. Get it? While writing twist and turn the facts that you know to create a world of your own.

However this does not mean that every single sentence that you write should be based upon your imagination( the case is different if you are writing fantasy fiction). Try to make your essay/poem/story as genuine as possible. This can be done by writing about your own experiences, feelings or thoughts ( I mean, even if you are writing fiction, the situations that your characters face can be based upon the ones you have experienced yourself in real life.) Do a bit of research on your topic if needed.

Lastly( and most importantly) , try and feel every word that you write. The number of big words that you use doesn't really matter; personally I believe that one should write in a simple yet beautiful manner so that everyone can enjoy and understand the piece. You should express yourself when you write. Just wrap up all your ideas and feelings in the words that you put on the paper...if you are truly able to do this, the ideas and feelings will unwrap themselves when someone reads them and touch their hearts(..or mind).

Have fun playing with the words...at the end of it your piece of writng would be nothing but YOU.

I don't want to write a long bhaashan...I am not a great writer that I can tell you all the dos and don'ts of writing(there are no rules actually). But these thoughts were floating in my head so I shared them with you guys. Oh... I forgot to tell you that writing is a great stess buster. If you are sad, confused or angry, just take a paper and pen and write your heart or mind out. It helps.

The language of this piece of writing was rather drowsy. Sorry.

THE GAME

Slap!

Someone's chappals hit me as I touch the ground.

To and fro! To and fro!

between the legs.

swift, small rolls from one feet to the other.

Freeze...

the legs stop, I stop.

one more pair of legs in front of me.

Whack!

I am hit again.

Rolling! Rolling! Rolling!

quickly I go to another person.

Can't see anything!

Aaaah!!!

one more leg appears from nowhere and kicks me,

I go flying the wind howling on my body...

Dhup...dhup...dhup

Bounce three times

Then roll, roll, roll,

I feel dizzy...

Iam still.

Relaxed.

tap.tap.tap.tap.tap

I hear something

tap.tap.tap.tap.tap

It becomes louder

tap.tap.tap.tap.tap

...and louder

tap.tap.tap.tap.tap

save me!

It's really close!

What?!

There are two people

running towards me!

Someone hel...

WHACK!!!

Aaaaooooo!Two legs hit me.

Stuck between the legs

SQUISH...

I am squashed.

Choked.

Aaah...

I am out,

It's not suffocating anymore...

But oh!

Kicked again!

HARD!

Just one centimetre off the ground

SWISH!

I go flying

between someone's legs

and...SPLASH into the puddle.

It's a goal.

HERE IS AN EXERCISE FOR YOU...TELL ME WHO THE NARRATOR OF THIS POEM IS.
